There was some snow around the higher places this week but it was quickly disappearing from the Desert Road today - an amazing day that was hot & sunny all the way from Wellington to Hamilton!

While summer seems to be here during the days, the nights still seem to be a bit wintry with some snow and even a frost or two this week - however today was a Waikato day I've never seen before. We had blue sky with no clouds for the entire day (well none that I saw & I kept looking).

The Silver Ferns finished off their netball series against a World 7 team with a 46-41 win after a great last quarter but while that was a good game they lost previous two & the series. The second game they lost 44-53, and the first 44-48.

Well we were told the cold winter weather had ended and it was a nice warm (sunny?) run to summer, but last night was pretty cold!

Danny Lee has continued his patchy professional golfing form this week. For a couple of days he was right up there on the leaderboard with the likes of Tiger Woods in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio, but over the past two days he has dropped off the pace.
