The Weekender 15/03/2009

It was 10 years ago on Friday that myself & a friend started our 'big OE', five months travelling around USA, & Europe finishing with the Trans-Manchurian. The only reason you might be interested in that bit of news is that it was some point after I got back (having missed 5 months of NZ sport & news) that I started up The Weekender.

Welcome to another March week as we head towards winter. The evenings are getting darker and the rain more frequent!

Some may call me a day late, some might quote obscure Lord of the Rings lines about me being right on time, but today is my birthday & last night was my brothers 40th party so I didn't quite make it to the computer after that. This will hopefully be the news in brief!

Welcome back, I've had a rather busy week at work so it will be interesting to see what happened!

The Weekender 08/02/2009

Welcome back, again. So now my holidays are all over. The past week and a half I've been in Melbourne enjoying some of their hottest weather ever (and just missing out on their hottest day ever!), enjoying the cricket at the MCG & having a great time - I'm about to find out what happened while I'm away & hopefully let you know some of the highlights! (while keeping one eye on the third ODI)

Welcome back. Although the official holiday period is over I'm still making the most of the sunny summer time. Yesterday was a trip to a water hole in the Coromandel, next weekend is Parachute Music Festival (so the Weekender will be delayed a day) and then I head to Australia for a break!

Welcome to 2009! Well I had a great break up the Coromandel over New Years (link to photos below) and I'm now back into work.

After a bit of a break the Weekender is heading back to UK - which if you didn't know was where it first went from the beginning!
Of course, this is the final weekender before Christmas and while I'll be enjoying summer weather (and some of you will be enjoying a white Christmas!) I may not be around as I have a bit of a break over New Years. So have a great season - keep safe if you are travelling!

The Weekender 14/12/2008

Welcome along! I am off on a road trip to New Plymouth this afternoon, so I'm getting in early with the Weekender!
